Among the direct effects of COVID-19 infection as well as in the post-covid syndrome, respiratory disorders are mentioned. Some patients with this type of problem may need speech therapy support. This article characterizes respiratory disorders caused by COVID-19 and discusses an outline of the diagnostic and rehabilitation management by a speech therapist involving people with respiratory disorders as a result of SARS-CoV-2 infection. The author presented ways to assess respiratory function for the purposes of speech therapy diagnosis, as well as guidelines for improvingthe disturbed function.

Wśród bezpośrednich skutków infekcji COVID-19, jak również w zespole pocovidowym, wymienia się zaburzenia oddychania. Część pacjentów z tego typu problemami może potrzebować wsparcia logopedycznego. W artykule scharakteryzowano zaburzenia oddychania wywołane przez COVID-19, a także omówiono zarys postępowania diagnostyczno-rehabilitacyjnego prowadzonego przez logopedę, obejmującego osoby z zaburzeniami oddechowymi w wyniku infekcji SARS-CoV-2. Autorka przedstawiła sposoby oceny czynności oddychania dla potrzeb diagnozy logopedycznej, a także wytyczne dotyczące usprawniania zaburzonej funkcji.
