Dlatego wykonana została analiza porównawcza programów multimedialnych wspomagających proces nauki języków obcych oraz badanie ankietowe sprawdzające opinie użytkowników na temat ich użyteczności, skuteczności i efektywności.

The main purpose of the article is to determine whether multimedia technologies present sufficiently high level to enable them to effectively support teaching of foreign languages and the level of their use in this goal. That is why the comparative analysis of the multimedia applications from this area was made and also was done the poll analysis viewing user reviews on their usefulness, effectiveness and efficiency.

The leading objective of the author was to illustrate the activity of apartyworker in terms of perception of a practitioner himself. The range of problems concerning partyworking as a modern variety of streetworking receiving increased attention among social welfare institutions was outlined. The author's intention was to signal certain areas of partyworker activities seen through the eyes of a practitioner. The issues dealt with were used as provocation for “helpers” so as to deepen their own reflections as well as to conduct thorough and multidimensional interpretation. Thus the presentation of an innovative method of streetworking and exploration of individual experience is a purposeful measure. The author also raises an issue related to the damage reduction policy presently causing a number of controversies in Polish legislature and not only there.

Celem artykułu było zobrazowanie działalności partyworkera, oparte na percepcji samego praktyka. Przedstawiony w nim został zarys problematyki partyworkingu jako nowoczesnej odmiany streetworkingu, która staje się coraz częstszym przedmiotem zainteresowań instytucji pomocy społecznej. Intencją autorki było zasygnalizowanie pewnych obszarów działań partyworkerów, dostrzeganych przez praktyka. Poruszane kwestie użyto jako prowokacje dla „pomagaczy” celem pogłębienia ich własnych refleksji oraz wnikliwej i wielowymiarowej interpretacji. Stąd też celowym zabiegiem była prezentacja innowacyjnej metody streetworkingu oraz eksploracja indywidualnych doświadczeń. Autorka porusza też kwestię dotyczącą polityki redukcji szkód, która obecnie wzbudza wiele kontrowersji w polskim prawodawstwie.

A lot of companies have a problem with the selection of the type of computer network, because each of them has different characteristics and specifications. A businessman often does not know what he can expect from them and which type of network will allow him to fully exploit the potential of its business. The main objective of the work is to build a decision support system in this area. Intermediate target is to specify the characteristics or criteria which will be guided by a businessman in this selection. A comparative analysis of the type of access to the network using a case study was made in the work. The paper also developed the concept of a decision support system on the issue in question. As a result, six benchmarking criteria were specified and analyzed: security, data integrity, price, mobility, performance and configuration. As a result of the analysis, the final ranking was presented. Having used AHP method it showed which type of access to the network according to the given criteria provided by a businessman was the most suitable for him.

W artykule zaprezentowano sposób, w jaki na Wydziale Nauk Ekonomicznych i Zarządzania Uniwersytetu Szczecińskiego przybliża się studentom problemy społeczeństwa informacyjnego. Wymieniono szereg obszarów zgłębianych podczas nauczanych przedmiotów. Poruszono zagadnienia techniczne, ekonomiczne i społeczne, omawiając je z perspektywy pojedynczego człowieka oraz z punktu widzenia zbiorowości. Przedstawiono ponadto zarys projektów realizowanych przez studentów podczas zajęć laboratoryjnych z przedmiotu „Problemy społeczeństwa informacyjnego”. Wskazano punkt ciężkości, główne idee oraz schemat projektów. Rozważania poparto wnioskami płynącymi z obserwacji prac studentów wykonanych na przestrzeni kilku ostatnich lat. Artykuł kończy konkluzja na temat konkursów propagujących rozwiązywanie problemów społeczeństwa informacyjnego.

The paper presents how the Department of Economics and Management, Szczecin University makes students familiar with the problems of the information society. A number of areas discussed in the taught subjects were identified in that article. Technical issues, economic and social were described, discussing it with the perspective of the individual human being and in terms of population. Moreover we have presented an outline of projects undertaken by students in the classroom lab with the subject Problems of the Information Society. Focus, the main ideas, and schedule of projects were presented. Considerations were supported with the conclusions from the observation of student work done over the last few years. The article was ended with the conclusion of the competitions that promote solving the problems of the information society.

Przedmiot „E-biznes” jest w obecnej postaci wynikiem pewnego rodzaju konsensusu, jakim jest z jednej strony ograniczenie limitów godzin, a z drugiej strony wymogi dydaktyczne dla określonych kierunków studiów. Wydaje się, że zakres tematyczny, szerokie odwołania do rzeczywistości gospodarczej, powiązania z praktyką, wymagałyby, aby rozszerzony został wymiar godzinowy całości (wykłady i ćwiczenia). Obecna forma jest pewnego rodzaju minimum merytorycznym i praktycznym dającym jednak dobre podstawy do dalszego studiowania zaprezentowanych obszarów wiedzy oraz przygotowania młodego przedsiębiorcy.

The article deals with the issues of modern education systems. It also presents the general characteristics of the systems in the educational process. We wonder: How does it work? Can we define it? What is its role in human life and society? We try to get answer to the question: Why some systems work and others don’t? Without a clear and rational purposes of education it becomes unclear. We try to show that the fundamental intention of educators should be to relate school with the makrosocial processes towards social change. Moreover, we would like to convince the reader that this change should be considered as an integral part of education. Teachers should be open-minded and understand the importance of conflict, tension and dysfunction occurring in schools. They should be open to each other and work together. At the same time we indicate that we should be ready to take on the challenges by asking ourselves and others questions about the content of education.

Pojęcie systemu nabiera w chwili obecnej coraz większego znaczenia w różnych dziedzinach wiedzy zarówno tych, które ukształtowały się dawniej (np. biologia, psychologia, socjologia itp.), jak i tych, które rozwinęły się w ostatnich dziesięcioleciach (informatyka, teoria zarządzania, zasilania w energię i inne). Są zjawiska nieukładające się w system, pomimo że nawyki idą w tym zakresie. We wszystkich tych dziedzinach wiedzy pojęcie systemu staje się pojęciem raczej kluczowym. Analizując problematykę systemu można zakonkludować, że nie sposób prowadzić działań bezpośrednio wprost systemowi. Wnioskując, to zupełnie tak, jakby zadać pytanie, co to jest nauka? To przecież pojęcie wszystkim powszechnie znane, a jednak poszukując odpowiedzi, warto spojrzeć w świat naukowców, a poprzez to możemy zobaczyć i zrozumieć znacznie więcej. Nie mamy możliwości, aby do końca zbadać system, gdyż jest to tylko rekonstrukcja pewnych treści. A przed pisaniem trzeba się zastanowić przeciwko komu skierowany jest system, a nie, co to jest i jak działa? Spektakularną cechą współczesnych czasów jest rosnące tempo zmian i przemian, jakie następują. Stawiają one wiele zadań przed przejawem aktywności człowieka, jakim jest nauka oraz kształcenie. Nie od dziś wiadomo, że rola nauki w życiu społecznym, gospodarczym, jak również kulturowym jest niezaprzeczalna. Bezspornie wiadomo, iż propagowanie nauki wydaje się obowiązkiem cywilizacji ludzkiej. Wydawać by się mogło zatem, że edukacja jest jednym z wykładników zamożności cywilizacji i rozwoju ludzkiego. Nauka może być szeroko rozumiana, nie można jej zawężać do jakiejś dziedziny, tak więc oczywiste wydaje się, że od narodzin uczymy się i zdobywamy nową wiedzę. Idąc dalej, możemy zauważyć, iż edukacja powinna służyć społeczeństwu, sprzyjać rozwojowi człowieka, a nauka i praca stanowią zasadniczą część egzystencji człowieka. Analizując tematykę, ważne jest, aby zwrócić uwagę na obecny panujący system edukacyjny i pedagogiczny. Można o nim mówić jako o systemie zorganizowanego zwiększania intelektualnej sprawności społeczeństwa. Jego podstawowymi elementami są instytucje, osoby i czynności połączone siatką wzajemnych relacji oraz współdziałające na rzecz tego jednostki, których celem jest przekazanie niezbędnej wiedzy, umiejętności i kompetencji pozostałym członkom populacji.

The main goal of the authors of the report was providing an account of creative scientific seminars, of significance for counseling experts and other specialists. The presented subject concerned multicultural counseling, which contributed to numerous inspiring thoughts and to active participation in debates over various fields of supporting activities. The chief purpose of these activities was the exchange of experience in counseling practice, creating the aid practice, as well as sharing views on issues of methodological or methodical nature. The participants of these important scientific events were given the opportunity of exploring the theoretical knowledge of counseling, and also putting their skills into practice during the workshops. Counselor – companion. In reference to the meeting with Professor Nancy Arthur (University of Calgary, Canada) one may conclude that its participants gained valuable answers to many pervading questions. The work put into workshops proved to be very inspiring as well. The participants could experience innovative counseling situations, evaluate their experience or professional activity as a counselor or helper availing themselves of practices known from other cultures or professions. Thoughts of practitioners/Practical experience. The researchers from the Netherlands positioned their speech closer to research practice, namely the professional identity of a counselor. Through deep reflections and practical experience, the Dutch scientists put a lot of effort into getting close to their practice and into referring to their lives, to Me-Others relation.
