The article deals with the problem of moral vs. legal judgment as presented in the novella Mondlicht über Masuren by Günther Tetzlaff. This problem appears in the seeking for judgment, in the comportment of individual and collective judgment makers, but especially in the role of the writer-lawyer who crosses the limits of human cognition. All this goes with a discussion of the ethics of the judge in jurisprudence as well as with psychoanalytical and esoteric aspects.

Im Mittelpunkt des vorliegenden Beitrags steht der Versuch eines Vergleichs des gerichtlichen und moralischen Urteils am Beispiel der Novelle von Günther Tetzlaff Mondlicht über Masuren. Die Frage wird sowohl im Hinblick auf die Nuancen der Urteilssprechung, auf die besondere Rolle des Schriftstellers und Juristen, der auf eine ungewöhnliche Weise sein Urteil abgibt, indem er die Grenzen der menschlichen Wahrnehmung überschreitet, als auch auf die gesellschaftliche Beurteilung untersucht. Der Kontext wird ferner durch Einbeziehung des rechtswissenschaftlichen Problems der Berufsethik des Richters sowie durch psychoanalytische und esoterische Aspekte erweitert.

The article concerns theatre programmes printed in Danzig from the moment of inauguration of the new stage at Targ Węglowy, i.e. from 1801, until 1841. The analyzed material is stored in the Library of the National Scientific Archive in Gdańsk. The aim of this article is to discuss the programmes, particularly with reference to the aspects related to history of Danzig and history of theatre, as well as aspects connected with sociology of culture.

Der Artikel behandelt die Danziger Theaterzettel, die von der Eröffnung der neuen Bühne am Kohlenmarkt 1801 bis 1841 in Danzig gedruckt wurden. Gegenstand der Untersuchung ist das in der Bibliothek der Polnischen Akademie der Wissenschaften in Gdańsk gesammelte Quellenmaterial. Ziel des Beitrags ist es, die Theaterzettel unter Berücksichtigung der historischen und theatergeschichtlichen sowie der soziokulturellen Faktoren zu analysieren.

The point of departure for this text has been constituted by the language used by Herta Müller – i.e. everything which is not articulated, left unsaid, non-verbalized. Crucial for Müller’s oeuvre is the world of nature – silent, yet communicating with the man. The aim of this presentation was the research of plant motifs (plants and parts of plants) which most frequently appear in the Nobelist’s works, as well as the analysis of their symbolism in the political and social context of Romania and Russian labour camp.

Zum Ausgangspunkt dieser Analyse wurde die Sprache Herta Müllers gewählt. Die Autorin benutzt in ihrem Werk als literarisches Mittel das Unausgesprochene, Verschwiegene und Außersprachliche. Eine wesentliche Rolle für das Schaffen von Müller spielt die Welt der schweigenden, aber doch mit dem Menschen kommunizierenden Natur. Das Ziel war die Erforschung der im Schaffen der Nobelpreisträgerin häufig vorkommenden Pflanzenmotive (Pflanzen und Pflanzenteile) und die Analyse ihrer Symbolik im politischen und sozialen Kontext in Rumänien und im Arbeitslager in Russland.
