W pracy przedstawiono znaczenie logistyki w przedsiębiorstwach sektora agrobiznesu. Badania przeprowadzono na próbie 504 przedsiębiorstw. Dane ankietowe były zbierane od grudnia 2009 r. do marca 2010r. W większości badanych podmiotów logistyka miała małe znaczenie, o czym świadczył brak odrębnego działu zajmującego się logistyką czy też niski poziom kosztów logistycznych w wydatkach ogółem. Badania wskazują na duży wpływ skali działania na organizację logistyki, metody zarządzania zapasami oraz sposoby przepływu informacji w przedsiębiorstwach agrobiznesu.

E-COMMERCE MARKET IN POLAND

The paper presents the changes that have occurred on the e-commerce market in Poland. We examined both the supply side and the demand side of the market. Very fast development of this market was possible due to technological innovation, eg. mobile Internet and mobile applications. The e-commerce market includes online stores and area of finance, communications, logistics, marketing and electronic training. The online stores are the most important part of e-commerce. Turnover of e-commerce in Poland increased very quickly, because the rate of 15% per year. In 2014, the highest percentage of Internet shoppers were in the age group 25-34 years (59.9%) and the smallest in the group of 64-74 years (6.2%). The study con-cerned the years 2010-2014.

In this paper, the organisation of warehousing and warehouse management in one of the leading Dairy Cooperatives in Poland, hereinafter referred to as “Dairy Cooperative Y” have been investigated. The selection of the Cooperative was made in a conscious and targeted manner. The main objective of the paper was to determine the role of warehouse management in the operation of an enterprise from the agribusiness sector. Data were collected on the basis of an interview with the employees of the enterprises. The data related to the year 2011. The indicator analysis shows that the warehouse management of the cooperative is quite good, and the company is a well-organised unit which successfully implements production and shipment plans and shows a high quality of customer support.

The objective of the paper is to assess the implementation of the electronic city card system in the city of Białystok. The city card has been used since July 2011 in Białystok. This is a system which covers fewer functions than a similar system in Wrocław. A comparison of the city card with paper tickets with respect to the functions they cover is favourable for the new solution. A questionnaire study performed in 2014 among passengers resulted in a positive assessment of the new solution of the electronic city card system.

The paper attempts to compare European Union countries in terms of the dynamics of changes in the value of lamb meat imports in the period 2003-2017. The standard against which this comparison was made was the average value, which should be understood as the growth dynamics of the examined feature for all EU countries together. For this purpose, tools related to the so-called Grade Data Analysis, such as the index of the unlikeness of structures “ar” (in this case a good tool to determine the direction of changes and the speed of these changes for all EU countries) and overrepresentation maps (used to visualise these changes and for their interpretation). Additionally, with the help of GDA methods, EU countries were divided into groups characterised by smaller, medium and higher dynamics of changes in lamb imports. It can be concluded that the most dynamic growth in imports of this type of meat is found among the newest EU member states. This may indicate a change in dietary preferences in these countries. It may also be related to greater accessibility to goods previously considered as luxury, greater awareness of so-called healthy foods and the improved standard of living of societies that have joined the European Union.

Transport jest działalnością, która niewątpliwie wspiera rozwój gospodarki. W zależności od działów produkcji w kraju, wolumen transportu jest różny dla poszczególnych produktów oraz surowców.Celem głównym artykułu było wskazanie zależności między sytuacją gospodarczą w Polsce a wolumenem przewozów produktów sektora agrobiznesu. Do analizy wykorzystano korelację liniową Pearsona. Wyniki badań wskazały, że popyt na przewóz samochodowy produktów z sektora agrobiznesu rósł szybciej niż w przypadku innych grup ładunków, o czym świadczył rosnący udział tego typu ładunków w przewozach ogółem oraz wyższa od średniej dla produktów ogółem, dynamika wzrostu. Jednocześnie zależność między wolumenem przewozu a wskaźnikami gospodarczymi była bardzo silna.

Transport is said to be an activity that supports and influence the economic development. Depending on the production sectors in the country, the transport volume varies between different products and raw materials. The main aim of the paper was to indicate correlation between the economic situation in Poland and the volume of transport of agribusiness sector products. Pearson’s linear correlation was used for this analysis. The research results indicated that since 2005 the demand for road transport of products from the agribusiness sector has grown faster than in other cargo groups. The share of this type of cargo in total transport is growing and is higher than the average for total products. At the same time, the relationship between the volume of transport and economic indicators is very strong.

Objectives: Grains transport is an activity that requires many procedures that affect the quality of the raw material being transported. Grains are transported by road, sea and rail. They are the subject of exchange on a local, national and international scale, being an important raw material for food processing. The main purpose of the study was to present the importance of grains transport in Poland in total transport. Material and methods: Pearson's linear correlation was used for the analysis. The following methods were used for the analysis and presentation of materials: descriptive, tabular, graphic, dynamics indicators with a fixed and variable basis, Pearson's linear correlation coefficient, coefficient of variation. Results: The largest volume of grains was transported by road, then by sea and rail. However, the most important in a given branch were grains in maritime transport (from 3 to 9% of total transport in this branch), then in road (1-2%) and rail. In the years 2007-2018, the volume of grain transported by road and rail increased the fastest, the level of transport by sea was maintained. Conclusions: The importance of ports in Gdynia and Świnoujście was systematically increasing, while the others were decreasing. There was a strong linear relationship between the volume of grain transported by road, rail and in total, and the economic situation in Poland.
