Celem artykułu jest przedstawienie możliwości zastosowania Propensity Score Matching (PSM) do analizy danych zastanych w ramach badań typu desk research. W artykule przedstawiono koncepcję wykorzystania tej metody do łączenia dwóch zbliżonych baz danych zastanych. Artykuł ma charakter badawczy. Źródłem danych zastanych są wyniki Europejskiego Sondażu Socjologicznego oraz Europejskiego Badania Jakości Życia. W postępowaniu badawczym korzystano również z literatury z zakresu socjologii i statystyki, dostępnej w postaci książek i artykułów. Za pomocą metody PSM wybrano z dwóch wymienionych baz danych jednostki najbardziej podobne pod względem wybranych zmiennych. Celem takich działań będzie połączenie wymienionych baz danych, co według autorów ma zwiększyć możliwość przeprowadzania analiz. W artykule zastosowano również regresję logistyczną, na podstawie której policzone zostały prawdopodobieństwa.

The components of the base are presented step by step, along with its information potential. A separate part is the presentation of the possible potential of IRK for educational research – in this case 11 years of candidates for archaeological studies at the Nicolaus Copernicus University. Analysis of the candidates’ origin, study potential, determination to take a specific major, etc.

The paper examines the conditions that determine the internationalization of Poland’s retail companies and other businesses, and it also evaluates the scope and forms of this process. The author analyzes these issues on the basis of desk research, or studies that collate the findings of previously published data and evaluate them in new ways. Another method used by the author is direct research involving a selected group of major enterprises that either already operate on foreign markets or plan to expand abroad. The analysis made it possible to identify the most important motives behind the internationalization of business operations as well as the directions of expansion in terms of both geographical regions and individual business sectors. Maleszyk also describes the organizational forms of internationalization (such as foreign direct investment and various forms of cooperation and integration) as well as barriers to decision-making on business expansion and development. The analysis reveals that the process of internationalization applies to a limited group of companies and is at an early stage of development. To accelerate internationalization, it is necessary to strengthen the market position of Polish enterprises and more intensely promote Polish brand-name products abroad. Other priorities include expanding the system for providing investment advice and supporting institutions that promote entrepreneurship, as well as facilitate lending from banks.

W niniejszym artykule starano się przedstawić wyniki analiz metod i technik badawczych zastosowanych w raportach ewaluacyjnych (w latach 2002–2011). Do zrealizowania tego celu posłużono się bazą badań ewaluacyjnych, zgromadzoną przez Wydział Ewaluacji Departamentu Koordynacji Polityki Strukturalnej Ministerstwa Rozwoju Regionalnego. Analiza materiału pozwoliła na określenie trendów metodologicznych stosowanych w badaniach ewaluacyjnych, zlecanych w związku z realizacją polityk publicznych. W artykule starano się też uchwycić wpływ teleinformatycznych zmian wpływających na stosowane w metodologiach techniki badawcze. Szczególną uwagę zwrócono na wykorzystanie mobilnych rozwiązań. Biorąc pod uwagę to rewolucyjne kryterium, podjęto także próbę metodologicznego quasi-podziału.

In the present article one was trying to present the results of analyses of methods and research techniques applied in evaluation reports (in years 2002–2011). For fulfilling this purpose one has used the base of evaluation examinations collected by the Department of the Evaluation of the Department of Structural Policy Coordination of the Ministry of Regional Development. Analysis of material allowed for determining the methodological trends applied in evaluation examinations, commissioned in relation to the implementation of the public policies. In the article one was also trying to catch the influence of teleinformatic changes, which influence on the research techniques adopted in methodologies. The special attention was paid for using the mobile answers. Considering this revolutionary criterion, an attempt of the methodological quasi-division was also made
