The article deals with the essence of the concept the «intellectual skills» and requirements to agrarian students are described. The author believes that with the rapid development of science and technology qualified employers of the agricultural branch should have a good basic training in mathematics and the certain level of intellectual skills formation. The success of the future student’s career will depend on it, when a specialist is able to solve arising problems as quickly, as possible. They should be able to foresee the consequences of those decisions. The studying of this discipline in agricultural universities promotes intellectual skills of students because mathematics develops logical thinking, deductive reasoning, the abstraction and generalization ability, the ability to think, analyze, criticize. It improves the complex systematic mental activity etc. Providing students with basic knowledge of higher mathematics may simultaneously pay attention to the intellectual skills development. Mathematics is a great opportunity for their mental development. Also deep knowledge of the science is the basis for studying many other professional subjects that are responsible for formation of their professional level. This article shows the necessity of mathematics knowledge in learning other professional braches. The author believes that the first block of the intellectual skills development of the program developed by V. F. Palamarchuck, can be implemented during lectures. Becaurse understanding and perception of information, selection of essential features and relations, known and unknown; understanding and explanation of the connections; synthesis; allocation of the object of thought; division of information into logical parts and comparing them; emphasizing the main and submitted ideas; finding the keywords and concepts; grouping of material etc should be done there. It is important to bring highly qualified specialists in the agricultural branch, who are competitive in the global business and science labor market and it is necessary to provide the appropriate level of mathematical and intellectual students skills formation.

The article describes the psychological and pedagogical peculiarities of teaching higher mathematics to foreign students. The basic methods and forms of work to improve the efficiency of the educational process are identified. These include: preparatory work for learning course, generalization and systematization of educational material, the use of reference abstracts and terminological dictionaries, specific requirements for the content and pace of teacher’s speech, individual and group forms of work at practical exercises. An important factor in foreign students’ training is the maximum use of visual material. We believe that the application of methods of individual and group learning can enhance educational and cognitive activity of students. There are also special requirements to the language: it should be clear, slow and concise. For practical lessons, it is advisable to prepare schemes of solving the basic (standard) tasks. This is the sequence of steps (algorithms) that lead to the result. Learning to solve typical tasks, the student can move on to more complex tasks, i.e. higher levels of learning. Solving tasks takes place with elements of the teacher’s assistance, mutual aid and interpersonal communication. Just interpersonal communication may, in some degree, fill in the gaps in the knowledge of language. If the individual elements of the explanation are not clear because of the language barrier, the student may appeal to the classmate and get his comments in clear language. For the current and final control the most appropriate is the use of tests. These forms of the tests are usual and well-known to foreign students and, very importantly, do not require independent verbal formulations of the answer. However, it is not necessary to abandon completely oral questioning. Oral responses are necessary for the development of speech culture, creating conversations and discussions. Taking into account considered psychological-pedagogical peculiarities, undoubtedly, will have a positive impact on the course of higher mathematics for the foreign students. In terms of further research is the development of new and of existing manuals and other didactic materials in higher mathematics for international students, development of methodological recommendations on the level of differentiation and individualization of instruction.

Information and communication technologies have a high pedagogical potential, allow significantly diversify the methods of organizing and implementing effective educational process, create intelligent learning system. Therefore, the purpose of article is building intelligent testing system taking into accout the model of the student and presentation of the program developed by WEB-final test and analyzing the results of the study of higher mathematics for engineering students. Research methodology of the problems raised are: pedagogical research methods and simulation, systems analysis, methods of formalized representation of the systems, methods, based on the use of knowledge and intuition of experts, test control methods (non-adaptive methods, partially adaptive, fully adaptive methods). In this work the following concepts are defined: intelligent learning, student model, classification of models of the student. WEB-developed program of testing and analysis of final results in higher mathematics is presented. In developing WEB-testing program summary and analysis of training was used partly adapted method and formed stereotyped of student model. Organization of control in this case is intended to: accelerate testing through the previous grading students; increase the objectivity of the inspection and assessment of knowledge; facilitate the work of teachers, freeing them from the routine checking of written work (he can devote more time to individual sessions with students). The program has two modes: «Teacher-administrator», «Student». In subsystem «Teacher» was made the formation of the student model, which contains a lot of information about the student. These data represent the set of input parameters for decision-making system of teaching and testing environment adaptation. The control system provides knowledge in subsystem «Student». In subsystem «Student» were used the algorithms of adaptation of difficulty levels for the system to the level of students’ knowledge. This program is designed for the use in schools during testing. It may be noted that intellectual knowledge assessment systems of student model are gaining popularity, due to their objectivity, availability and economic efficiency. Student modeling plays an important role in the adaptation of electronic systems testing. Further work includes an experimental verification algorithm of adaptation of the degree of difficulty of the task, analyzing the results and making the necessary changes to the system.

Effective organization of research activity of students is an urgent task of the teacher of mathematics. Modern educational process at the university is focused on the usage of reproductive techniques and little training is provided with appropriate means for the development of creativity and research skills. Article aims to offer a method of teaching students of educational organization to study the prominent curves (for example, academic research on «logarithmic spiral»). We have used the scientific and pedagogical research methods, among which theoretical and empirical methods, including analysis of the literature on the issue of research, systematization and generalization of pedagogical experience, the theoretical modeling of the development of research capabilities, its experimental realization. Research activity of a student is an independent academic work, which involves the «discovery» of knowledge, has a subjective significance and originality, creativity and independent study of the topic. It is proved that the educational research is a process and the result of the student’s research activity. The technique of the organization of research activity of students for the study of prominent curves is proposed; an example of academic research on «logarithmic spiral» is also present; outstanding curves which have practical application are considered. The research work of students of a technical college for the study of outstanding curves connects the study of higher mathematics course with mastering the fundamentals of professional activity. We believe that the discovery of properties of prominent curves integrates the knowledge of students from different academic areas and encourages a comprehensive analysis of the objects of research. During the research increases an interest in mathematics and the motivation of learning, and as a result comes the development of student’s individuality. Further scientific development of the considered problems can be associated with the creation of methodological maintenance of independent research, writing of guidelines, containing a set of professionally-oriented tasks of research character on higher mathematics.
