The authors attempted to find an answer to this question: Is your child starting school education is ripe for the role of a student? This issue is difficult min. due to the individual pace of development of the individual and the existence of differences in the individual students, and the transition of the child from pre-school to school education is a long term process. Contextual background considerations include directions of development of integral education, an analysis of the needs of the child and the six-year review of the analysis of the results of scientific research. It is the idea of deliberately producing field for reflection on educational practice.

Autorzy artykułu podjęli próbę znalezienia odpowiedzi na pytanie: Czy dziecko rozpoczynające naukę w szkole jest dojrzałe do roli ucznia? Zagadnienie to jest trudne m.in. z uwagi na indywidualne tempo rozwoju jednostki oraz występowanie w nim różnic indywidulanych, a przejście dziecka od edukacji przedszkolnej do edukacji szkolnej jest procesem długofalowym. Kontekstowe tło rozważań obejmuje kierunki rozwoju integralnej edukacji, analizę potrzeb dziecka sześcioletniego oraz przegląd analiz wyników badań naukowych. Jest to zamysł celowy stwarzający pole dla refleksji nad praktyką edukacyjną.

Is it possible to implement the issue of nature and mathematics in education? An interesting question is the time to start this education. Can you start pre-school education in these areas? How to carry out these activities using the available teaching aids? Authors make a hypothesis: science education combined with mathematical education can be started with preschool children (3–4 years old), using the available didactic resources in the form of games or games, and other technical elements. The content provides examples supporting the hypothesis and examples of didactic measures for its implementation.

Niniejszy artykuł zawiera rozważania na temat tego, czy można realizować zagadnienie dotyczące przyrody i matematyki w edukacji, czy realizacja ta może mieć miejsce już w wieku przedszkolnym oraz jak realizować zajęcia przyrodnicze i matematyczne, korzystając z dostępnych pomocy dydaktycznych. Autorzy stawiają następującą hipotezę: realizację edukacji przyrodniczej w połączeniu z edukacją matematyczną można rozpocząć u dzieci przedszkolnych (3–4 lata), wykorzystując dostępne środki dydaktyczne w postaci zabaw lub gier oraz innych elementów technicznych. W treści artykułu podawane są argumenty na popieracie tej hipotezy oraz przykłady środków dydaktycznych do jej realizacji.

The subject of the article is the analysis of the state of contemporary research on the small child of preschool age, which has been conducted in social sciences. I point out the key subjects and research problems in preschool pedagogy as well as the sources and latest research results in the quantitative and qualitative paradigm. The paper encourages interdisciplinary research on small children in order to update the state of knowledge about the acceleration of their development.

Przedmiotem artykułu jest analiza stanu współczesnych badań nad małym dzieckiem, dzieckiem w wieku przedszkolnym, które prowadzone są w naukach społecznych. Wskazuję na kluczowe w pedagogice przedszkolnej przedmioty i problemy badawcze oraz źródła i najnowsze wyniki badań w paradygmacie ilościowym i jakościowym. Zachęcam do prowadzenia interdyscyplinarnych badań nad małym dzieckiem, by aktualizować stan wiedzy o akceleracji jego rozwoju.
