The idea of the conceptualization of adult education has been postulated in the article including its significant differences. The leading distinguishing feature is the personality of pedagogical staff that works with adults. It has been substantiated the dependence of the functions which are performed by pedagogical staff in the adult education system, on the main characteristics of the society. It has been shown the content of the integral-role position of a pedagogue-andragogue which has 3 elements: subject and content, project and technological, organization and diagnostic. The professional activity of a pedagogue-andragogue has been analyzed as the specialist who professionally organizes and conducts adult training and learning, helps create individual programs of training. At the same time, in his/her activity he/she combines different social functions as well. The most typical are to provide the help in renovating the motivation towards learning and professional activity, to combine the content both andragogical and professional activity of his/her learners, to share the methods of supervising adult self-learning.

Motivation is the driver of adult learning. The paper reveals the importance and peculiarities of adults’ learning process. There has been analyzed the impact of external and internal factors on the efficiency of adult learning; various approaches to the typology of intrinsic motivation are presented. The author has also considered the components of motivational sphere (emotional aspect, the set aims, the ability to learn), which can significantly influence the level of adult learning motivation.

Abstract The study presents the results of the online case study of Ukrainian refugee educators who were forced to move to Poland. The study aimed to investigate problems encountered by refugee educators and find possible options for supporting them and their professional activities per the interests expressed during the survey in the context of lifelong learning. The conceptual background of the research problem was based on the theory of adult education and the recent international strategies. The research sample consisted of 124 refugee educators aged 35–55+ years who have the potential to work by the obtained speciality. Data were collected using a Google Forms questionnaire; qualitative research methods were used. The results allowed for formulating conclusions and perspectives on the educators’ professional development and support.

The article deals with the actual issues of forming professionally-oriented foreign language competence concerning the future engineers’ training. The article testifies the necessity of rendering future engineers with professionally-oriented foreign language training based on new engineering and technological approaches. The challenges of interdisciplinary studies of any area of economy cause enhanced intensive international collaboration and intercultural cooperation. It implies the improvement of professionally-oriented foreign language competence demand for the next generation of engineers and middle-line staffsince it is essential for interdisciplinary and international team work training. Considering the experimental results, it has been confirmed that professional foreign language competence is effectively developed within “Intensive integrative course of foreign language”, content and structure of which are based on an integrative approach and a set of suggested organisational principles. The article summarises the results of the direct observation and interviews.

The article reveals the importance of the time management problem and substantiates the expediency of its research. It describes peculiarities of time management as a pedagogical technology concentrating on its principles; analysis of technology genesis was carried out in the works by foreign and domestic scientists from different fields of science. Five groups of problems solved with the help of this technology were identified. It was found out that time management within our research meets the requirements of a pedagogical technology effectively facilitating PhD students’ self-management. It was proved that it combines features of professional management technology as well as effective self-management.
