Both of these works were inspired by the biographies of celebrities – Margaret Campbell, Duchess of Argyll’s and Anna Nicole Smith’s. The text analyses how their biographies were edited both in literary and musical terms, attempting to determine to what extent they are either pioneering or embedded in the traditions of the opera.

The issue of intersection of digital media and acquisition of forms of public awareness is still relatively new. This research study identifies cognitive aspects of subjective perception of different categories of influencers operating in the online environment. The aim is a more detailed explanation of the psychosemantic structure of the perception of selected domestic influencers in relation to the self-respondents and the brand, as this is where the promotional aspect of the researched topic is revealed. Theoretical starting points of the study accentuate the knowledge based on endorsement models of using celebrities in marketing communication, as well as on the concept of social psychology and persuasion. The elementary definition of the concept of influencers lies in the etymological analysis, which we supplement with the analysis of currently established scientific-professional approaches to the categorisation of influencers and also draw attention to a critical explanation of terms related to influencer marketing, such as opinion leader, brand ambassador, as well as the influencer itself. To identify social representation of celebrities and marketing communication in the semantic space of generation Z we applied a psychosemantic method of Semantic Choice Test. The results indicate a markedly positive self-concept of the studied cohort of Generation Z and its focus on professional application represented by the semantic proximity of two influencers (Sajfa and LucyPug). At the same time, significant distrust of politicians and political communication and a critical approach to the aggressive communication of political entities were identified.

In the article the author thinks about the paradigm of a so called every man. She tries to define an every man and how he is perceived by contemporary printing mass media. The aspect of an every man is examined on a number of levels: Firstly, it is the creation of „naturszczyki” or „naturalsi” as they were referred to by Wiesław Godzic i.e. artificially created celebrities, for example participants of popular reality shows. Secondly, problems of genuinely average, volnurable people such as the unemployed, single mothers or residents of downtown districts etc. Finally, extraordinarily “normal” daily life of celebrities.

The present article concerns the issue of transferring practices typical for the Internet hypertext onto the ground of TV media. Evolution of TV transfer is characterized by increasing tendency to “downlink” other places in the info-sphere, placing references to numerous previews, pointing out other sources. All this contributes to the fact that TV may be perceived as next - apart from the Internet - medium of network nature. A substantial part in this process is played by the celebrities, who constitute a kind of core, around which all remaining elements of medial network are arranged. However, the process of “networking” TV is far more than purely marketing strategy of creating the most attractive message possible. It constitutes the reflection of the way human brain works, which prefers the analysis of cut and separated, out-of-context messages to longer and more subtle ones.

John Paul II can certainly be considered an outstanding personality of our time, not merely due to the long duration of his pontificate. He was the first roman pontifex – during the age of mass media – who reached out to the whole world personally, including dissenters as well as infidels. We present here a pastoral-theological review reflecting on the media presence of the deceased pontifex John Paul II, highlighting different aspects of its papacy and providing a theological interpretation. John Paul II didn’t intend to reshape papacy, but did point to different aspects of it. We’d like to assess the changes which resulted from his massive presence in the media additionally to presenting insights in what way the distinct features of his outward appearance in the media can contribute today to make “church as a universal sign” more or less experienceable. The pope from Poland made use of the media like no other pontifex before him leading to the large media attention he received at the end of his life which is unparalleled in history of the Holy See. He enjoyed great appearances and was even selected “Man Of The Year” by Time magazine in 1995.

The lexeme glamour is currently used as a keyword to describe various socio-cultural phenomena. First and foremost, the term glamorous is used to describe someone who is charming, physically attractive, alluring, sexy. It is often used to describe beautiful architecture and baroque interior design. The lexeme is also used in reference to dazzling fashion, luxurious cars, and even charming gadgets. Therefore, is often mistakenly associated with the world of celebrities. However, glamour is more than just external beauty, a created style, fake elegance, luxury, fame, or sex appeal. It may be the attribute of a person – making him or her exceptional, maybe even statuesque. It is something one is. Some people have the “gift” of glamour. Many simply create it for themselves. Because glamour offers the promise of life without mediocrity; it transports us away from everyday experience and makes our dreams seem accessible. Stereotypically glamour is treated as a kind of illusion typical of romance. Glamour and charisma often go together, but are not equivalent. The aim of the article is to revise the stereotypes connected with the lexeme glamour and charisma, celebrity and illusion of reality typical for romance.

These factors are reflected in language implementation of the analysed interviews. The presentation of theoretical foundations follows language analysis of the selected interviews. Above all, interviews with celebrities are characterized by numerous reductions, informal and colloquial language, vulgar vocabulary, and a use of Anglicisms.

The contents and ranges related to the presented topics were discussed. The most lucra-tive social issues in the media space are listed, which includes topics related to fashion, travel, healthy lifestyle, luxury products or showing private lives of people who are related to broadly understood showbiz (including actors, singers, journalists). Also, the dangerous phenomenon of patoinfluencers, who gain publicity by presenting content related to violence, the use of stimu-lants, aggression, profanity, etc. was highlighted. As a summary, it was recognized that being a modern celebrity/influencer can be considered as a type of profession, because earning popularity allows to obtain such remuneration, which is a source of income, and being a celebrity determines the position of the individual in the society.

Is fame a valuable problem for historiography, or will it always remain in the domain of marketing experts? The English celebrity history, well-developed in the West, would react with a fervent refusal to any attempts at considering fame being thought ahistorical. This article is a review of three current works pertaining to the problem. Additionally, it attempts to determine whether a Polish historian can use its contents as fair examples of the current trends in celebrity history.

To on ostatecznie nadaje podanej informacji pozytywny lub negatywny wydźwięk i tym samym kreuje w oczach odbiorców sposób spostrzegania i oceniania określonego wydarzenia lub podmiotu. influenced by many elements in different extent. Although the concept of image is not a new phenomenon, in present times of multimedia domination the question of forming it has become quite significant and has often decided about a professional, political or business success or failure of a given entity. Image is a subjective idea that an individual has of a given object. It is formed on the basis of different intentional and unintentional actions. The media have become an instrument which can influence the image creation. There have been developed and used theories, for example, an agenda setting theory, which discuss the influence of media on public opinion in context of the occurring problems and their priority of importance. Agenda setting theory is described as one of the most important conceptions in the field of communication. Context in which the information about the event or subject is given is a very significant factor. It is context that finally shapes the positive or negative sound of the information and thus creates the way of thinking and assessing a given event or entity in the eyes of the information receivers. The media have also become a home for a new phenomenon described as a celebrity.
